Silliness

Inter-est-ing (adj.)
Oh God, oh God. We're all going to die.
---Wash, from Firefly.

When I do nothing, or at least nothing of any tangible benefit to the larger universe, my brain starts being silly, filling it's airtime with things like Firefly quotes.

Though I suppose it is inaccurate to say that I've done nothing the past few days. I help Mark and Claire move into their apartment in Blacksburg. It is a rather nice place to be certain, but the 4.5 hour drive is most definitely unpleasant. So I shall avoid that when possible. Claire and Mark are both returning to the area for their anniversary on the 4th of August. Hooray for them.

I finished Zelda: Twilight Princess today. Poor Link. He should have gone with Midna. The ending made me sad. Come on Miyamoto! No one expects continuity from the story lines! Let the elf boy go with the girl for once. He's earned it.

I <3 the opera scene from Final Fantasy VI. Especially the lovely orchestral version that Pun-leu found and gave to me. So pretty.

Enough dust to kill a small cat.

Hello World!

My last post was in the early part of May, when I had just arrived back in NoVA. Now it is the middle part of July, and I am still in Nova. I have nothing to say here, so this is my datum for historians of the far future.

Uhh...Claire and Mark are spending some time here while they seek an apartment in Blacksburg. Mom and Dad are in Korea and Japan respectively. I have just left my job at Toys 'R' Us, and am convinced beyond all doubt that retail is a horrible thing.

I bought a wii from the internet, and I find it highly enjoyable. I have only light and multiplayer games at the moment, and though Zelda does tempt, I do not feel that I have the money to spend at the moment.

About a week ago, I bought a number of CDs from a local shop, the CD Cellar, and have not yet finished uploading them to my computer. This is due to a feeling of minor schizophrenia on my part.

My 20th birthday is on the 22nd of this month, and in some cultures (specifically Japan) it would be significant. However as I am in the American culture it is largely meaningless. More interesting to me is that the day before that Harry Potter 7 shall be released, and the after my birthday, Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword shall also be consumable. (C0ntext note: Harry Potter is a book, and Civilization is a computer game.)

And that is all that I wish to say at this point.
