Delayed recollection

Overnight I had an odd dream. The fact that I'm writing this entry now as opposed to about 15 hours ago shows the level of concern it initially held. But since I don't remember most of my dreams, any of them are worth noting.

So, what did I dream? I don't recall much of it, but I awoke several times during the night in a sweat and the image/thought/concept that stuck in my mind the most was being trapped in a huge pool of cooking oil with it warming far away from me. The term of 5,000 liters was somewhere in there, but in connection with the thought of "That's way too much. The units are off."

That's all I remember. Other things happened today (WTF moments abound) but I need to work through the implications first. Also, speak with a certain prima.

One week later...

So, what happened in the past week?

The best time I've had at work for quite a while. Not that it's saying too much, as I still want to leave quite badly, but the logistics may need a tweaking. So I may be getting back to NOVA later than I was hoping earlier, but still soonish. Instead of the 2 and change weeks (wow, just wow. I had no idea it was that close) I was hoping for, it may be 3-4 weeks. Which is bad in some ways, but mainly feels inconvenient.

[tangent]I kinda wish I was blogging back when I worked for safeway, just to see how much nostalgia and what may be the worst job that doesn't involve feces have affected my memory. The fact that I am nostalgic for the job should say something. Though I recall that when I had that PICC line and couldn't do much for a while I wouldn't have minded going to work.[/tangent]

Got a new CD or 3 since my last post, one by "Soapbox Heroes" by Enter the Haggis and "Sunday 8PM" by Faithless. I'm enjoying the ETH more, but both will probably find their way to my podling.

Not much else that I'm eager to donate to the google record of all things (or cache [tangent] I need to come up with an acronym that works for cache. [/tangent]).

So that's all until the next time that I blorg. Have a kitty.

Friday night

I got my fix of German politics tonight. I played Die Macher for about 4 hours (not bad given that it included rules explanation)

I need to make sure that I take a few pictures of the Charles frozen up before I head south again. It's really pretty when it looks solid from the Harvard bridge.

It's either very late or very early. Either way, time to go to bed.

Successive Successes

Say that title ten times fast.

Work was arguably good today. That is to say, Andrew (big bad boss man) would have thought I did a good job. If he could figure out my name. He seemingly can't, even when he's handing out checks. I am thoroughly bewildered by that. I'm still uninclined to stay there a minute longer than needed, but my escape plan hasn't been confirmed yet.

And I got progress quest. My new name is Frixrtov. An Enhcanted Motorcycle Hunter Strangler. Proving that I need to get some sleep.

Cleaver was on the BBC. Someone on the forum said that he was on before. I don't remember if he was or not, but Whirled looks fun.

Beating Broadway Broads.

Ever notice that actresses use photos to publicize themselves? Yeah, no surprise there. But it seems odd to me that the pictures they use are so heavy on the makeup the possibility rises that they're face really is black and blue and the flesh tones are painted on.
Or not... I just think anyone wearing that much makeup should just finish the job and look like they got kidnapped from a production of 'Cats'. And what would happen if an actress doing 'Cats' had a kid? Would it be a kitten? =^_^= And what is the feline equivalent to a werewolf? (There is a connection between those two, I just didn't write it down.)

So after a 11 month hiatus, I am going to attempt personal blogging again. Not sure why though (I lie, I know the reason. It's all hypnos' fault.) So I'm going to avoid the lengthy posts from the last try and just do short ones. For no other reason that I'm less likely to get distracted if I do short posts than gargantuan ones. And since I've gotten distracted at least twice since starting writing this, I'm going to bed.
